As of today: the Average Monthly Disposable Salary (After Tax) in Bali is only 4,500,000.00 Rp. Barely enough to live.

Pinoyland

One quiet evening in Malaysia. Chatting with a (female) friend about the Philippines. Interesting conversation.

she: my parents told me never to go to the Philippines

me: why? what happened?

she: my aunt went there, and she was captured as a hostage!

me: oh really, how terrible, how did it end?

she: it was the army who did it, and they wanted money to release her.

me: the army? Howcome?

she: it's normal business there. The army is corrupt.

me: how horrible. Did your aunt returned to Malaysia?

she: yes, after paying a lot of money. Nobody will ever go back there.
